Trillium Vineyard

Laird Lachlan Image

Laird Lachlan

This wine is named for our little Havanese dog, Lachlan.
Laird is Scottish for "lord" and connotes ownership
of land rather than nobility. Lachlan is certainly the
lord of our manor. Our house and its environs all
belong to Lach. He shines his happy, charming, sunny
disposition on everyone he meets, but his loyalty and
love is for his family. He is our faithful and constant
companion, always by our sides or in our laps. He protects
us and the vineyard at the tasting room from marauders
like deer, squirrels, and "OBCs" (old bad crows).
Blanc du Bois, the varietal from which this wine is
made, thrives in Georgia's hot, humid climate. Underneath
the dry, serious qualities of this wine, you will
discover a playful nature, much like Lachlan's. The flavors
and aromas of citrus and tropical fruits, peaches,
honey, and a hint of minerality (due to the terroir of
our rocky soil) will remind you of warm, summer days
spent playing in the sun.
"Wine is sunlight, held together by water." Galileo
