Woolgathering: indulgence in aimless thought or dreamy imagining; from the literal meaning "gathering fragments of wool pulled from sheep by bushes, trees, fences, etc."
The flock of Babydoll Southdown sheep who reside at Trillium Vineyard do leave tufts of their wool on fences, shrubs, and grapevines. These little wisps of fluff are evidence that our sheep cover some territory during their work day. As they wander trhough the vineyard, they are nibbling the weeds, clipping the canopy of grapevines at just the right height, and gently fertilizing as they go. We like to call our little flock "sustainable agriculture that smiles".
As you enjoy our Woolgathering wine, let your mind happily wander. Slow down. Relax. Revive.
